Hi! I’m Jack Spiegel and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in journalism as a part of Quinnipiac University’s 3+1 accelerated dual degree program, where I will receive a bachelor’s and master’s degree in four years. I graduated with my BA in journalism in May 2024
I am the former Photography Editor of Quinnipiac’s student newspaper: The Quinnipiac Chronicle, where I found my passion for photojournalism.
While I was at The Chronicle, I won two awards from the Connecticut chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for their Excellence in Journalism College Contest's News Photo category for my 2024 front page photo of protestors inside Hamden town hall, and in the Audio Storytelling category for my 2022 "Lunchtime Legislation" podcast. The Quinnipiac Chronicle program included segments on the Russia/Ukraine war and Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court nomination.
I have previously interned at C-SPAN in its field operations department and at Denver Westword as an editorial intern.
Please contact me directly for projects or to inquire more about my work.
